So what defines being a success? Success can mean numerous things to different people. For many it means financial prosperity and independence which might include a exceptional dwelling, vacations travelling the globe, and financial security for them and their children. For others it can mean admiration, being looked upon as a leader and having countless people looking up to you. It may perhaps also mean freedom from the anxieties and worries that lots of people have in their lives.
Success can mean happiness in finding pleasure from life and getting to the end of your life knowing that you've enjoyed it to the full in an honest and honourable way. Not winning against other people, winning against yourself and your own personal anxieties and restrictions. In reality everyone wants to be a winner in their life and to have the best that life can offer. Nobody enjoys living in poverty and mediocrity.
Some of the most practical success ethos ever devised have essentially come from biblical material. Everyone's heard the idiom 'faith can move a mountain'. This is probably true that with sufficient faith and dedication one can possibly move a mountain where it might take some time, but the idea that with faith and belief you can accomplish anything you want in your life is essentially true, and has been demonstrated time and time again all the way through history.
If you are positive that you can accomplish something, you have no doubts, and you believe that it will happen so single-mindedly it is almost as if it already has, that reality begins to develop. I have no idea how this works but it actually does. You tend to find yourself in the right place at the right time, talking to just the kind of person who can assist you, or finding yourself in a situation that you would find impossible to imagine, but that can help you slowly toward your objectives.
Now I'm not one for mumbo-jumbo and giving people false hope, but this has without doubt worked in my life and can work in yours. You just need to educate yourself to think in that way. You can always tell who the positive people are. They walk with their heads held high and with spring and swiftness in their step. It's clear that they know where they're heading and are not just aimlessly moving through their life with no direction. On the other hand you can see the person who has no direction or desire. They usually walk with a stoop, failing to raise their feet properly off the ground, and mumbling rather than talking clearly. It's as if the whole weight of the planet is on the shoulders, and to them it feels like it is. What sort of person do you want to be?
So start off by behaving more positively in your life. At first you can need to lie to yourself. Tell yourself it's a wonderful day, that things are fantastic, and that you will attain your goals. Tell yourself time and time again. Every time you speak these words you are training your mind. Programming yourself to the extent that in the future you will come to believe these things. I'm not talking about giving yourself fake hope for the sake of it, but helping you to shift away from the damaging feelings you have in the direction of a more optimistic outlook.
Every morning tell yourself how lucky you are to be alive, what a amazing day it is, and how appreciative you are for your wellbeing, your family, and all the good things you have in your life. This will prove a great start towards overcoming your fears and concerns for the future, and converting yourself into a person who knows that they can succeed. Good Luck.
