STRATEGIC PLAN
This is a more detailed breakdown of your dream book into quantifiable objectives to be achieved by a certain quarter.
It is absolutely vital for any long term achievement to have a long term
or strategic map in place. This examines your skills, your objectives,
What you want, how much sweat you will put in. Also how much
Finance you have, what advice you need, whether to involve business Partners or not.
For my part I like to plan on a yearly basis and then divide it down
Into quarters. When it says “must do’s” I mean these objectives are NOT
Negotiable - I will do these things come hell or high water.
Don’t be afraid to re-evaluate objectives during the year, add new ones,
Delete ones that are unrealistic, not working or no longer applicable due to
shifting priorities. Above all be adaptable, but have clear goals.
(I also add items ready to carry forward to the next year).
Your strategic plan should be active, and change, because our
Lives change all the time. This does NOT mean however that you
evade your objectives, remember these are “MUST DO’s”.
This strategic planning process will unquestionably help you attain your
business, personal and Life Goals. Too much watching TV will not help you realize your goals.

Homework
Stop reading now and sketch out an twelve-monthly strategy for your business,
It doesn’t matter if its Messy, with lots of crossings out etc, what is important is that You HAVE DONE IT. This is an sign of WORK ETHIC, which Will be discussed later.
Optional - Tactical Plan - For those who need one
Tactical Planning is the day to day responsibilities needed to conform your strategic plan. Below is a example daily workplan with suggested responsibilities though it is completely up to you what you put into your daily tactical plan. It should have organization and fit in with your energy levels at specific times, and because these are different for different people you should know yourself what things you are good at, at specific times of the day. For instance my best time for productive and technical work is the morning, say 6AM to midday. (Though I have been known to start at 4AM). Lunchtime I do administration responsibilities such as dealing with post, email, telephone calls, etc and in the afternoon I do work of a less technical or demanding nature.
Exert yourself according to your body’s rhythm’s
Some people do their greatest work at 2 o’clock in the morning, fine, structure your tactical plan around this. Below is an example, change this to suit your own working method.
Remember, getting up one hour earlier every day will give you an additional 5 hours per week, 20 hours per month and 240 hours per year, that’s an extra 30 days per year valuable effort in your business! (If you feel tired go to bed one hour earlier).
Saying some positive affirmations, first thing in the morning, will get you in a positive state of mind to get you going and get off on the right track. Saying things like “Todays going to be a great day”, is giving your subconscious a unequivocal command to have a fantastic day, and it will do every thing in its control to accomplish it.

NOTES
Focus
Focus is your ability to narrow in on your objectives and work, your ability to focus, and work undistracted, despite irritating disturbances.
It is useful if you have an area of your home, like a study, somewhere you can focus, uninterrupted, on your business. With the door shut. A corner of the kitchen table with the kids running around screaming is not an best setup.
Please explain openly to your other half that while in your office you ‘are working’. This does not mean you are free to do all the odd jobs that have stacked up. These can delay until the weekend. You need to be focused and regimented if you are to make progress. Millionaires are very focused on their goals, they are not diverted. Their energies are entirely focused on the assignment in hand, and will not stop until it is accomplished.
